Photograph by Mathew B. Brady, Washington, DC, 1862.

On p99 ascribes no date to the photograph. On p399 says 1862 under the photo, but 1861 in the caption. On p101, referring to a photograph obviously from the same sitting, says "perhaps" the sitting took place before the death of Willie Lincoln in February 1862. I conclude that 1862 is still the most likely date for this photograph.

For reasons behind the date assignment, see a.62d_date_assignment.
